VOLLEYBALL SPLITS AT TRI-MATCH
WILLIAMSPORT, PA
– The Lycoming College volleyball team hosted Lebanon Valley
College and Division II University of Pittsburgh – Johnstown,
for a tri-match Saturday. The Warriors split their matches,
defeating Lebanon Valley in five games before falling to
Pitt-Johnstown in four games. Lycoming is now 21-6 overall this
season and ranked fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Both Layne
Haverstock (Sr./Hesston, Pa.; Huntingdon) and Kelli Watson
(Jr./East Freedom, Pa.; Central) recorded 18 kills versus
Lebanon Valley. Lindsey Artz (Fr./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley)
added 14 kills and two blocks. Seneca Reilly (Jr./Athens, Pa.;
Athens) led the squad in both assists and digs with 49 and 20,
respectively.
Against
Pitt-Johnstown, Haverstock again led the team in kills with 19.
Artz was close behind with 18 kills in the match. Jana Reitz
(Jr./Waynesboro, Pa.; Waynesboro) tallied a team-high 25 digs
and Reilly recorded 46 assists.
The Warriors play
again on Wednesday, October 22, when they travel to the University
of Scranton for their final regular season conference match.
