Volleyball

WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS CRUSADERS

SELINSGROVE, PA – The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to Susquehanna University, Thursday evening, for a non-conference match. The Warriors defeated the Crusaders in three straight games by scores of 31-29, 30-22, and 30-23. Lycoming, ranked fifth in the Mid-Atlantic region, improves to 20-5 on the season with the win. Susquehanna falls to 9-8.

Layne Haverstock (Sr./Hesston, Pa.; Huntingdon) led the Warriors with 17 kills and 18 digs in the match. Lindsay Artz (Fr./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) added nine kills and a pair of blocks. Seneca Reilly (Jr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) recorded a team-high 38 assists while also tallying 14 digs. Jana Reitz (Jr./Waynesboro, Pa.; Waynesboro) contributed three service aces in the contest.

Lycoming will play again this Saturday, when they host Lebanon Valley College and the University of Pittsburgh – Johnstown for a tri-match in Lamade Gymnasium. Action begins at 10 a.m.
