WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS MOUNT ALOYSIUS

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Lycoming College volleyball team opened up their home schedule, Wednesday evening, with a three-game sweep of Mount Aloysius College. The Warriors topped the Mounties by scores of 30-26, 30-20, and 30-20. Lycoming is now 3-2 overall this season.

Senior Layne Haverstock (Hesston, Pa.; Huntingdon) led the Warriors with 20 kills in the match. She also reached a career milestone, recording her 1,000^th career kill early in the first game. Melanie McCoy (Sr./Bloomingburg, Ohio; Miami Trace) and Lindsay Artz (Fr./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) each added seven kills. Artz also led the team with eight blocks in the match, including six in a single game. Seneca Reilly (Jr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) paced Lycoming with 33 assists and Jana Reitz (Jr./Waynesboro, Pa.; Waynesboro) tallied a team-high 14 digs.

The Warriors will be right back on the court Thursday evening, when they host Rutgers-Newark for another non-conference match. The contest is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
