WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL SPLITS MATCHES AT ELMIRA

ELMIRA, NY – The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to Elmira College Saturday afternoon for a triangular match versus Elmira and Lebanon Valley. The Warriors split their two matches defeating Lebanon Valley in three games but falling to the host in four games.

Lycoming swept the Flying Dutchmen in three straight games behind the attack of Layne Haverstock (So./Hesston, PA; Huntingdon) and LeAnne Jones (Jr./Etters, PA; Red Land). Scores of the games were 30-22, 30-28, 30-23.

The Warriors hung tough with Elmira, but could not quite get over the top falling in four games 26-30, 27-30, 30-28, and 22-30.

Lycoming is now 6-6 overall and will play again on Friday when they travel to a tournament at Western Maryland.
