WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL COMES UP SHORT AT SUSQUEHANNA

SELINSGROVE, PA - The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to Susquehanna University for a non-conference match on Saturday. The Warriors had a chance to defeat the Crusaders but couldn't close the door as Susquehanna rallied to win in five games; 30-26, 24-30, 28-30, 32-30, 15-10.

"Overall, they were five well played games today. We were up and down a bit - need to work on our consistency," said Lycoming Head Coach Tim McMahon. "We made some mistakes in game four that kept Susquehanna in the match, but other than that I was pleased with the effort.

"Layne Haverstock played a very good match for us, as did Kelli Watson and LeAnne Jones."

The loss drops Lycoming's record to 3-4 on the season. Susquehanna improved to 14-1 overall. The Warriors will play their first home match of the season on Tuesday, September 25, when they host DeSales University at 7 p.m.
