WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL SUFFERS 3-1 LOSS AT FDU-MADISON

MADISON, NJ – The Lycoming College volleyball team suffered a setback in their quest for a birth in the MAC Freedom Conference playoffs losing to FDU-Madison in four games Wednesday evening. The Warriors won the opening game 30-23 but then dropped three straight by scores of  30-26, 30-26, and 30-27. With the loss Lycoming’s record falls to 8-9 overall and 2-3 versus conference opponents. FDU improves to 14-7 and 3-1.

Layne Haverstock (So./Hesston, PA; Huntingdon) led the Warriors with 13 kills in the match. Melanie McCoy (So./Bloomingburg, OH; Miami Trace) added seven kills. Seneca Reilly (Fr./Athens, PA; Athens) recorded 28 assists and three aces.

Lycoming will return home for their next match against Delaware Valley College on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
