VOLLEYBALL GOES 2-2 AT WESTERN MARYLAND TOURNAMENT
WESTMINSTER, MD
– The Lycoming College volleyball team competed in the 12-team
Western Maryland tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Warriors
went 2-2 in four matches to move their season record to 8-8
overall.
Lycoming opened
the tournament with a pair of wins on Friday evening. The team
defeated Gallaudet in three games, 30-17, 30-25, and 30-23; and
Western Maryland in four games, 30-22, 30-24, 28-30, and 30-20.
The perfect mark in round robin play put the Warriors in the
Championship Bracket for Saturday’s competition.
In the semifinals
on Saturday, Lycoming fell to Messiah in four games, 26-30, 30-28,
27-30, and 15-30. They then lost to Franklin & Marshall in
three games 17-30, 22-30, and 20-30 to place fourth in the 12-team
event.
The Warriors will
travel to FDU-Madison for their next match on Wednesday, October
17.
