LYCOMING TRACK
AND FIELD COMPETES AT JUNIATA
HUNTINGDON, Pa.
– The Lycoming College track and field teams traveled to Juniata
College, Saturday afternoon, for the Blue & Gold Track &
Field Invitational. The women’s team scored 29 points to place
sixth in the six-team field. The men’s team did not have any
athletes place at the invitational.

was the top place-winner for the Warriors, winning the women’s
high jump with an effort of 5’0”. Freshman Vicki Hoover (Milesburg;
Bald Eagle) followed close behind with a second place throw of
111’3” in the javelin. Angela Casselberry (Jr./Muncy;
Hughesville) and Sarah Kapinus (So./Centre Hall; Penns
Valley) each placed in two events for Lycoming. Casselberry
took a fourth in the high jump (4’6”) and a fifth in the long
jump (15’3”). Kapinus placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run
(13:04.04) and sixth in the 5,000-meter run (22:10).
For
the men, Scott Condello (Sr./North Wales; North Penn) was
the top performer. Condello ran a time of 17:20.20 in the
5,000-meter run to place seventh and a time of 4:30.55 in the
1,500-meter run to place eighth. |
