MADISON, N.J. – Lycoming swimming made quick work of Drew University in its dual swim meet on Saturday afternoon.  The women triumphed 152-57 while the men did much the same 91-39.  The ladies improve to 4-2 while the men inch up to 3-4 on the season.

The Lady Warriors earned first place or posted the fastest time in 14 events beginning with the opening 200-yard medley relay.  Freshman Milvana Ban (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt), sophomore Amanda Guminski (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham), junior Amanda Scholwinski (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil Acad.) and freshman Kirsten Snyder (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) combined for the win.

Snyder put together a trio of individual top times in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke, and the 400-yard individual medley.

Senior Lacey Pietropaolo (Victor, N.Y./Victor Central) earned a first place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle and had the fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle.  Freshman Julie Harahush (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) continued her strong early season with victories in the 200-yard and 50-yard freestyles.

Senior Kelly Sykes (Willimantic, Conn./Windham) won both the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard backstroke.  Freshmen Amy Bentz (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and Nichole Zoller (Colonia, N.J./Union Catholic Reg.) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke, respectively, and senior Nesma Karedis (Orefield, Pa./Parkland) was quickest in the 100-yard butterfly.

Freshman Stephanie Conrad (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro Area), Karedis, junior Jessica Gough (Berwick, Pa./Berwick), and sophomore Holly Miller (Lykens, Pa./Upper Dauphin) swam the fastest in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The men’s squad placed best in 10 different events with seniors Kyle Drake (Tannersville, Pa./Pocono Mountain), Chris Mungo (Boonton, N.J./Montville Township), Brian Smith (Waterbury, Conn./Holy Cross), and Jeffrey Swatkins (Guilford, Conn./Xavier) opening with a win in the 200-yard medley relay.

Senior Niels Olsen (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) and Swatkins topped out in a pair of individual events.  Olsen won the 100-yard backstroke and the 500-yard freestyle while Swatkins grabbed top honors in the 200-yard and 100-yard butterfly events.

Drake and Mungo also grabbed individual wins.  Drake claimed the 200-yard backstroke while Mungo touched first in the 100-yard breaststroke.  Senior Steve Hawley (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity) won the 100-yard freestyle, and freshman Brandon Good (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) triumphed in the 50-yard freestyle.

Good, Olsen, senior Mark Ross (Laurens, N.Y./Oneonta), and Swatkins teamed up for a win in the 200-yard free relay to close the meet.
