WARRIOR SWIM TEAMS BOTH FINISH FOURTH AT MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Lycoming College swimming teams wrapped up the third and final day of competition at the 2005 Middle Atlantic Conference Swimming Championships, Sunday evening. Both the Warrior women and men finished in fourth place in the final team standings.

Lycoming’s men were led by Steve Hawley (Jr./New Cumberland, Pa.; Trinity) and Jeff Swatkins (Jr./Guilford, Conn.; Xavier). Hawley came in second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.12 seconds. Swatkins came in second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:01.61.

Rebecca Fox (Sr./Middletown, N.J.; Middletown South) led the Warrior women, placing second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.98.

All told during the three-day championship meet, Lycoming swimmers claimed three individual conference titles and broke eight school records.
