LYCOMING SWIM TEAMS DROP DUAL
MEETS AT ALBRIGHT
READING, Pa.
– The Lycoming College swimming teams traveled to
Albright College, Saturday afternoon. Both the women and men
fell to the Lions, the Warrior women 142-115 and the Warrior men
141-110. Lycoming’s women are now 1-1 in dual meets, while
Lycoming’s men fall to 1-2 in dual meets.
Kelly Sykes
(Jr./Willimantic, Conn.; Windham)
led the Warrior women with a pair of first-place finishes in the
100 and 200 backstrokes. Rebecca Fox (Sr./Middletown, N.J.;
Middletown South) also won two events picking up victories in the 200 breaststroke
and 400 IM, while adding a third-place finish in the 200 free.
Three other
women placed in multiple events for Lycoming. Stephanie
Kudrick (Fr./Coudersport, Pa.; Coudersport) placed second in
both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. Michelle Tracey
(Fr./Maplewood, N.J.; Mt. St. Mary Academy) finished second
in the 400 IM and third in the 1000 free. And Erin Patrick
(Sr./Media, Pa.; Penncrest) placed third in both the 50 and
100 frees.
For the men,
Chris Dempsey (So./Newtown, Pa.; Notre Dame) paced the
Warriors with a first place in the 400 IM and a pair of second
places in the 500 and 1000 frees. Josh Hogan (Sr./Waverly,
N.Y.; Waverly) also placed in three events, taking first in
the 100 butterfly, second in the 200 back, and third in the 100
back. Stuart Olsen (Jr./Evanston, Ill.; Evanston) added a
victory in the 500 free and a second place in the 200 free.
Steve Hawley
(Jr./New Cumberland, Pa.; Trinity)
contributed two second-place finishes in the 50 free and 100
back. Jeff Swatkins (Jr./Guilford, Conn.; Xavier) placed
second in the 400 IM and third in the 200 fly.
Both
Lycoming teams will be at home on Wednesday, November 10, when
they host College Misericordia. |
