LYCOMING MEN’S SWIMMING FALLS TO BLOOMSBURG

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s swimming team kicked off their dual-meet season by hosting Division II Bloomsburg University, Tuesday evening. The Warriors won three individual events and a relay but fell to the Huskies, 120-83.

Nathan DeCapria (So./Jersey Shore, Pa.; Central Mountain) led Lycoming by winning both the 50- and 100-freestyle races. DeCapria’s time of 0:21.25 in the 50-free, is a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Josh Hogan (Jr./Waverly, N.Y.; Waverly) added a victory in the 100-butterfly with a time of 0:55.20.

The Warriors’ 200-medley relay team set a new school record with a time of 1:40.92. Steve Hawley (So./New Cumberland, Pa.; Trinity), Dustin Long (So./Halifax, Pa.; Halifax), Hogan, and DeCapria made up the team.

Both Lycoming’s men’s and women’s teams will be in action for their next dual meet when they travel to College Misericordia on Wednesday, November 12.
