LYCOMING’S DECAPRIA EARNS TOP SEED AT NATIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

ATLANTA, GA – Lycoming College freshman Nathan DeCapria (Jersey Shore, PA; Central Mountain) opened quite a few eyes at the NCAA Division III National Swimming Championships, Thursday morning, at Emory University.

DeCapria, who entered the championships as the eighth seed in the 50-yard freestyle, swam the fastest time of the preliminaries to earn the top seed for the finals this evening. DeCapria turned in a time of 20.69 seconds to set a new Lycoming record and secure All-American status. He will compete again in the finals this evening.
