WARRIOR MEN’S
SWIMMING FALLS TO BLOOMSBURG
BLOOMSBURG, PA
– The Lycoming College men’s swimming team traveled to
Division II Bloomsburg University, Tuesday evening, for their
first dual meet of the season. The Huskies won 8-of-11 events to
defeat the Warriors 107-89.

(Jr./Sarasota, FL; Tappen Zee)
and Wil Dolben (So./Rye, NH; St. Thomas Aquinas) were
Lycoming’s individual event winners. DeZago won the 500
freestyle and Dolben won the 100 breaststroke.
The Warriors also won the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Several Lycoming
swimmers also grabbed second-place finishes at the meet. Steven
Hawley (Fr./New Cumberland, PA; Trinity) led the way finishing
as the runner-up in both the 50 free and 100 back. Other
second-place finishes were: Brain Bausinger (Fr./Berwick, PA;
Berwick) – 1000 free; Jeff Swatkins (Fr./Guilford, CT;
Xavier) – 200 free; Rob Neil (Sr./Dallas, PA; Dallas)
– 100 fly; Dustin Long (Fr./Halifax, PA; Halifax) – 500
free; and Mark Ross (Fr./Laurens, NY; Oneonta) – 100
breast. The Warriors’ 200 medley relay also placed second.
Lycoming will
face another tough challenge on Saturday, November 9, when they
travel to Clarion University along with the women’s squad. The
Warriors will compete in a quad-meet with Clarion, Shippensburg,
and Edinboro – all Division II institutions.
