WARRIOR SWIMMERS
SWEEP LEBANON VALLEY;
WOMEN REMAIN PERFECT
WILLIAMSPORT, PA
– The Lycoming College swimming teams hosted Lebanon Valley
College, Saturday afternoon, for a dual meet. Both the Warrior men
and women defeated the guests handily by scores of 112-55 and
120-77 respectively. Lycoming’s men improve to 7-2 with the win,
while the women remain perfect at 11-0 on the season.
Chris Rager
(Sr./Camp Hill, PA; Cumberland Valley)
led the men’s squad with victories in the 50 freestyle and 100
butterfly. Greg Brown (Sr./Mechanicsburg, PA; Cumberland
Valley) added a victory in the 100 breaststroke; Phil
Zimmerman (Sr./Tamaqua, PA; Tamaqua Area) was the first to
finish the 500 free; Josh Hogan (Fr./Waverly, NY; Waverly)
won the 100 free; Rob Neil (Jr./Dallas, PA; Dallas) took
first in the 100 backstroke; and Chris DeZago (So./Sparkill,
NY; Tappen Zee) was victorious in the 200 IM.
For the women, Karen
Turpin (So./West Windsor, NJ; Princeton) was a double-winner
with victories in the 100 butterfly and 200 IM. Kristin
Campbell (Jr./Camp Hill, PA; Cedar Cliff) took first in the
100 breaststroke; Erin Horsley (Fr./Allegany, NY; Allegany
Central) placed first in the 500 freestyle; Karissa Brown
(Fr./Chemung, NY; Waverly) was the fastest swimmer in the 100
backstroke; Jess Amadore (So./Easton, PA; Wilson Area)
added a win in the 100 free; and Andrea Rapach (Jr./Pittsford,
NY; Pittsford Mendon) rounded out the individual Warrior
winners in the 50 free.
Lycoming
returns to the competitive pool on Saturday, February 2, when they
travel to King’s College.
