FIFTEEN WARRIORS GAIN ACADEMIC HONORS

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Fifteen Lycoming College student-athletes have been named to the 2001 Middle Atlantic Conferences Spring All-Academic team. Individuals who are nominated for the conference honor must be at least a sophomore academically and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.4 or better on a 4.0 scale.

The Warriors named to the All-Academic team are listed below next to their respective sports:

Softball – Jessica Feerrar (So./Lock Haven; Lock Haven), Amber Simchak (Jr./Nesquehoning; Panther Valley) and Dara Dietrich (Jr./Pitman; Tri-Valley)

Women’s lacrosse – Heather Wilt (Sr./Wyoming; Dallas), Darlene Moyer (Sr./York; Central York), Sarah Alexander (So./Meadville; Meadville), Karyn Wright (So./Schenectady; Schenectady), Lisa Klein (Sr./Elverson; Daniel Boone), Amy Hoffman (Jr./Mechanicsburg; Bishop McDevitt) and Liz McNassor (Jr./Wellsboro; Wellsboro)

Men’s tennis – Joseph Connell (Jr./Chambersburg; Chambersburg) and Colin Gabler (So./Camp Hill; Trinity)

Women’s track & field – Sarah Kapinus (So./Centre Hall; Penns Valley) and Angela Casselberry (Jr./Muncy; Hughesville)

Men’s lacrosse – Mickie Llano (So./Victor, NY; Victor Central)
