WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s tennis team hosted King’s College, Tuesday afternoon. The Warriors won two singles matches and a doubles match, but fell to the Monarchs 5-2. Lycoming is now 1-7 overall and 0-6 within the Freedom Conference. King’s improves to 6-13 and 1-5. In doubles action, Mike Byerly (So./West Milton, Pa.; Lewisburg) and Ryan Horsley (Jr./Allegany, N.Y.; Allegany) teamed up for an 8-2 victory in the second position. Horsley added another victory at third singles, defeating Matt Dunne 6-2, 6-2. John Scarangello (Fr./Nazareth, Pa.; Pen Argyl) was also a winner in singles action. He recorded a 6-3, 6-2 win over David Boe at sixth singles.
The Warriors
have completed the dual match portion of their schedule, but
selected members of the team will compete in the Freedom
Conference tournament on April 30.
