LYCOMING MEN’S TENNIS DROPS MATCH AT MESSIAH

GRANTHAM, PA. -  The Lycoming College men’s tennis team traveled to Messiah College, Monday afternoon, for a non-conference match. The Warrior’s won two singles matches and a doubles match, but fell to the Falcons 5-2. Lycoming falls to 0-4 on the season.

Jason Mathews (Sr./North Wales, Pa.; Christopher Dock) and Peter Ruhl (So./Muncy, Pa.; Muncy) were the Warriors’ individual winners. Mathews defeated Evan Cameron at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-1. Ruhl topped Brad Provencher at sixth singles, 6-1, 6-2.

Michael Byerly (Fr./West Milton, Pa.; Lewisburg) and Ruhl teamed up for an 8-4 victory at third doubles.

Lycoming will travel to DeSales University for their next match on Wednesday, March 31.
