LYCOMING MEN’S TENNIS DROPS MATCH
AT FDU-FLORHAM
MADISON,
N.J.. – The Lycoming College men’s
tennis team traveled to FDU-Florham, Saturday afternoon, for a
Freedom Conference match. The Warriors won two singles and a
doubles match, but fell to the Devils 5-2. Lycoming drops to 0-3
on the season, while FDU improves to 5-3.
Peter Ruhl (So./Muncy, Pa.; Muncy)
and Sam Trone (Fr./Aspers, Pa.; Biglerville) were the
Warriors’ individual winners. Ruhl defeated Matt Dvorin at fifth
singles, 6-0, 6-2. Trone topped Robb Corbo in a super-singles
match at the sixth position, 8-1.
Jason Mathews (Sr./North Wales, Pa.; Christopher Dock)
and Kyle Bartz (Jr./Stamford, Conn.; Ridgefield) teamed
up for an 8-0 victory at third doubles.
Lycoming will hit the road again on Monday, March 29, to face
Messiah College.
