WARRIOR MEN’S
TENNIS FALLS TO ROYALS
SCRANTON,
PA – The Lycoming College men’s tennis team dropped a
conference match at the University of Scranton, Saturday
afternoon. The Warriors won just one doubles match and two singles
matches to lose by a team score of 5-2. Lycoming is now 3-2
overall and 1-2 within the conference. Scranton improves to 2-4
overall.
In doubles
action, Eric Frey (Sr./Williamsport, PA; Williamsport) and Joe
Connell (Sr./Chambersburg, PA; Chambersburg) teamed up at the
second position to win 8-3. The Royals, however, won at first and
third doubles to claim the lone team point.
In singles
play, Bernardo Urdaneta (So./Maracaibo, Venezuela; Claret
School) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at the first position. Colin
Gabler (Jr./Camp Hill, PA; Trinity) added a victory from the
sixth position, winning 6-1, 6-2.
The Warriors
are on the road again for their next match when they travel to FDU-Madison
on Wednesday, April 10.
