Warriors Settle For Tie During Family Weekend                  Big Second Period Not Enough For the Win

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Despite scoring two goals in the second period, Lycoming was unable to capture a win against FDU-Florham in their match-up Saturday.

The Warriors out-shot FDU by a considerable margin (25-12), but to no avail as Florham scored once in each of the first two periods. The first score for Lycoming came from the foot of sophomore Paul Boucher (Hauppauge, N.Y.) with nearly nine minutes left in the game.  Still trailing by one with less than six minutes on the clock, Mike Coates (Washington, N.J.) tied the score at two on a goal from 15 yards out.

Freshman goalkeeper Brian Marshall (Sayre, Pa.) replaced Warriors’ starter Matt Klipp (Collegeville, Pa.) when Klipp was injured. Each player registered three saves and allowed one goal.

Lycoming will be seeking to win for the first time since their upset of nationally ranked Elizabethtown on Tuesday, October 3, when the Warriors host Franklin and Marshall at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. Game time is set for 4:30 pm.
