Lycoming Sports Welcome Rommelt Elementary
Soccer and Lacrosse Hold Mini-Clinic

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming College soccer and lacrosse, players and coaches, held a clinic for Rommelt Elementary students on Friday. The South Williamsport fifth and sixth graders were allowed to run on the turf at Shangraw Athletic Complex as Lycoming players held basic drills at various stations.

Almost 200 elementary students were coached by 30 Lycoming athletes and several coaches. Assistant athletic director Scott Kennell organized the event, which he hopes to do again in the fall.

“We enjoy giving back to the community,” expressed Kennell, “It’s a great opportunity to teach these young kids about different sports and to get our athletes out in the community. Everybody had a great time today.”

An added bonus was the weather. The day was sunny, with temperatures in the 60’s.
