READING, Pa.—Lycoming (4-7-3) claimed an authoritative victory on Monday as they powered past Penn State-Berks (4-9-1) on the road. Freshman Chris Lorenzet (Forest Hill, MD) paved the way for the Warriors with four goals on five shots. He scored twice in the first period, once assisted by senior Matt Frey (Greensboro, MD), the other unassisted. Freshman Chris Mackie (Cinnaminson, NJ) also scored in the first period. Mike Coates (Washington NJ) notched the assist.
Lorenzet
kept his hot streak
going in the second half, scoring twice. One goal was unassisted and
Kyle Welsh (North Wales, PA) fed Lorenzet on his last score.
Finally, Dustin Schulman (Hempstead,
MD) scored in the 84th
The Warriors outshot PSU-Berks 22-7 and, more impressively, did not allow a single shot on goal. Warrior goalkeeping duties were split between Matt Klipp (Collegeville, PA) and Ryan Humphreys (Boonton Township, NJ). Lycoming looks to extend their winning ways when they host King’s College on Thursday, October 19 at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. |
