Soccer Banquet A
Success
Head coach Scott Kennell led the festivities, recognizing his two graduating seniors Eric Stickel (Lansing, NY) and Dan Jackson (Windsor, NJ) for their dedication and leadership. Stickel was subsequently named the team’s Man of the Year for 2006. Junior Zach Tanner (Waynesboro, PA) earned Most Valuable Player for his exceptional 2006 performance. Tanner, who started every game, took a team-high 53 shots, scoring five goals on the season. Freshman Chris Lorenzet (Forest Hill, MD) led the Warriors with nine goals, six assists, 24 points and 24 shots on goal. Lorenzet was awarded Rookie of the Year, while sophomore Scott Erikson (New Providence, NJ) earned Most Improved Player for 2006.
Juniors Tanner and
Rob Bailey (Bel Air, MD) and sophomore Tom McVey (Jamison, PA)
were announced as team captains for the 2007 season. These players will
join Lorenzet and second-team All-Conference sophomore Matt Frey
(Greensboro MD) to lead Lycoming into the Commonwealth Conference
next year. |
