WARRIOR MEN’S SOCCER HAS WINNING STREAK SNAPPED MADISON, N.J. – The Lycoming College men’s soccer team traveled to Drew University, Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference match. The Warriors saw their five-match winning streak come to an end, falling to the Rangers by a score of 2-0. Lycoming drops to 10-4-1 overall and 3-2 within the conference with the loss. Drew improves to 9-4-1 and 3-1. Michael Jacobson scored an unassisted goal just nine minutes into the match to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead. The Warriors created some pressure in the offensive end during the second half, but could not convert their opportunities into goals. Drew put the game away with nine minutes to play when Joe Favata scored off an assist from Dan Wehrle. Jason Fesler (Sr./Carlisle, Pa.; Cumberland Valley) went the distance in goal for Lycoming, making four saves. Dan Biggers made three saves for the Rangers. The Warriors return home for their next match, hosting Marywood University on Wednesday, October 20.
