LYCOMING MEN’S SOCCER RETURNS TO WIN COLUMN WITH SHUTOUT

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s soccer team traveled to Chestnut Hill College, Sunday evening, looking to rebound from their first setback of the season. The Warriors responded well, shutting the Griffins out for a 3-0 victory. Lycoming improves to 3-1 with the win. Chestnut Hill falls to 0-2.

Andrew Weber (Jr./Ambler, Pa.; Upper Dublin) got the Warriors on the board in the 29^th minute with his first goal of the season. Jeff Kocher (Jr./Churchville, Md.; C. Milton Wright) put Lycoming ahead 2-0 just two minutes later placing a rebound in the back of the net. Kocher added an insurance goal late in the second period off a throw-in by Tony Komons (Fr./Frederick, Md.; Frederick).

Jason Fesler (Sr./Carlisle, Pa.; Cumberland Valley) recorded his third shutout of the season, making six saves in the match.

The Warriors will play again on Wednesday, September 15, when they travel to Juniata College for a non-conference tilt.
