LYCOMING MEN’S SOCCER HAS WINNING STREAK COME TO AN END

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s soccer team had their nine-game winning streak come to an end, Saturday afternoon, at Delaware Valley College. The Warriors gave up a goal in the fourth minute of the match and could not find one of their own as the Aggies claimed the 1-0 shutout. Lycoming falls to 9-2 overall and 2-1 within the conference. Delaware Valley improves to 4-7 and 1-2.

Ryan Ponnwitz scored the only goal of the game in the fourth minute off an assist by Michael Taylor. The Aggie defense did the rest, limiting the Warriors to just 14 shots overall and only five shots on goal.

Jason Fesler (Jr./Carlisle, Pa.; Cumberland Valley) made 11 saves in goal for Lycoming.

The Warriors will look to start another winning streak on Monday, October 6, when they travel to Bryn Athyn College.
