LYCOMING
MEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO FDU-FLORHAM
MADISON, NJ –
The Lycoming College men’s soccer team traveled to FDU-Florham,
Thursday afternoon. The Warriors fell behind early and had a
comeback attempt thwarted by two late goals in a 4-1 loss to the
Devils.
FDU wasted no
time taking a lead posting a goal just 1:10 into the game. Chris
Herzog tallied the score off an assist from Scott Klein. Klein
then added the team’s second goal, unassisted in the 21st
minute, to give the home team a 2-0 halftime advantage.
Lycoming cut
the deficit in half in the 75th minute when Vance
Kennedy (Fr./Port Royal, PA; Juniata) found the back of the
net. Jeff Kocher (Fr./Churchville, MD; C. Milton Wright)
assisted on the play.
The Devils,
however, ended any chance for a Warrior comeback with two more
goals in the final 10 minutes. Brian Gonsar accounted for both
scores. Yaly Kloepper assisted on the first.
Jason Fesler
(So./Carlisle, PA; Cumberland Valley)
made five saves in goal for Lycoming.
The Warriors
finish their season this Saturday when they travel to DeSales
University.
