LYCOMING MEN’S
SOCCER CROWNED BY ROYALS
SCRANTON, PA –
The Lycoming College men’s soccer team traveled to the
University of Scranton, Saturday afternoon, to take on the Royals
in a conference contest. The Warriors scored first, but it was all
Scranton after that as the Royals ran away with a 6-1 victory.
Phil
Kratochvil (Fr./Bel Air, MD; C. Milton Wright)
opened the scoring in the game with his first collegiate goal just
eight minutes into the match. Jeff Kocher (Fr./Churchville, MD;
C. Milton Wright) assisted on the play for his team-leading 21st
point of the season.
Jason Fesler
(So./Carlisle, PA; Cumberland Valley)
and Will Anthony (So./Schuylkill Haven, PA; Nativity) split
time in goal for Lycoming. Fesler made six saves and allowed five
goals in 72 minutes in net. Anthony made four saves, while giving
up one goal in 18 minutes.
The Warriors will
return home for their next match, hosting Freedom Conference rival
Wilkes University, Wednesday, October 23, at 3:30 p.m.
