Gilfoy Named MAC Goalie of the Week
Two Wins Put Lycoming on Playoff Track

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming lacrosse goalie Kyle Gilfoy (Media, PA/Penncrest) earned Middle Atlantic Conference Goalie/Defender of the Week honors for securing two important wins last week. Lycoming victories over Elizabethtown and FDU-Florham put the Warriors into the conference playoff picture for the first time this season.

Gilfoy, a sophomore, made 14 saves and scooped up eight ground balls against Elizabethtown. He held the third-place Blue Jays to single-digit goals, as Lycoming won 9-8.

Against FDU-Florham, Gilfoy made 18 saves and again held his opponent to single digits in an 8-6 win. Lycoming is now tied with FDU-Florham for the MAC’s final playoff berth (and holds the head-to-head tiebreaker). The Warriors travel to first-place Messiah on Wednesday for a must-win night game.
