Lycoming Laxers Fall to Franklin & Marshall
Schaeffer Leads Warriors with Three Goals

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—The Warrior lacrosse team (0-2) fell to Franklin & Marshall on Saturday by a score of 18-10. On a brisk afternoon, freshman Brad Schaeffer (Smithsburg, MD) led Lycoming with three goals.

It was a busy day for Warrior senior goalie Alex Tankeloff (Malvern, PA), who got his first start of the season. Tankeloff compiled 13 saves for the game. Face-off specialists Justin Dixon (Baltimore, MD) and Mike Doherty (Berlin, MD) led Lycoming with five and four ground balls respectively.

A surprisingly aggressive Franklin & Marshall took it to Lycoming early and went into halftime with a 10-5 lead. The Diplomats’ tenth goal came with just 44 seconds left in the second period. The Warriors found the net four times in period three and captain Tom Nairn (Fairport, NY) scored one of his two goals with one second left in the game.

Lycoming suits up again this Wednesday for a tough match-up with Dickinson. The game starts at 3:30 at Shangraw Athletic Complex.
