LYCOMING MEN’S LACROSSE HANDLES MORAVIAN

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team traveled to Moravian College, Saturday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic Conference contest. The Warriors defeated the Greyhounds 17-6 to extend their winning streak to five and remain undefeated versus conference opponents. Lycoming is 6-2 overall this season and 5-0 in the MAC. Moravian falls to 3-7 and 0-4.

Dave Kirschner (Sr./Newton Square, Pa.; Marple Newton) had a huge day to lead the Warrior attack, scoring nine goals and recording one assist. Daniel Cannon (Fr./Orangeville, Ontario) and James Cusick (Fr./Aston, Pa.; Sun Valley) each added four goals and three assists. Scott Baker (Jr./Westminster, Md.; South Carroll) and Daniel Conkright (Fr./Spring City, Pa.; Owen J. Roberts) also tallied one assists apiece.

Matt Lyons (So./Radnor, Pa.; Conestoga) started in goal for Lycoming and made six saves, while allowing three goals in 34 minutes. Erik Shepski (Sr./West Chester, Pa.; Unionville) and Alex Tankeloff (So./Malvern, Pa.; Great Valley) split time in net the rest of the game. Shepski made four saves in 15 minutes and Tankeloff made two saves in 11 minutes.

The Warriors’ next game will be on Tuesday, April 12, when they host King’s College at 4 p.m.
