Men's Lacrosse

WARRIOR MEN’S LACROSSE FALLS TO ELMIRA IN OVERTIME

CORNING, N.Y. –  The Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team lost in overtime, Wednesday afternoon, versus Elmira College.  The Warriors overcame a three goal deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but the Soaring Eagles scored first in the extra period to earn the 9-8 victory.  The loss drops Lycoming to 1-2 while Elmira is now 2-1.

Thomas Nairn (So./Fairport, N.Y.; Fairport) led the scoring for the Warriors with three goals.  Dave Kirschner (Sr./Newton Square, Pa.; Marple Newton) added two goals and had three assists.  Freshman Jim Cusick (Aston, Pa.; Sun Valley) and seniors Chris Jordan (Doylestown, Pa.; Germantown Acad.) and Tyler Fitzgibbons (Doylestown, Pa.; Archbishop Wood) each tallied one goal.  Chris McQuade (Sr./Lower Gwynedd, Pa.; Wissahickon) also had an assist.

Matt Lyons (So./Radnor, Pa.; Conestoga) was in goal for Lycoming, making 16 saves in the lost.

Adam Williamson led Elmira with four goals and Keith Holmes had three goals and one assist.  Greg Hanson and Jeremy Hobbs both had a goal and Tyler Schremp added a game-high six assists.

The Warriors will play again on Saturday, March 19, when they travel to FDU-Florham .
