WARRIOR MEN’S LACROSSE FALLS AT WIDENER

CHESTER, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team traveled to Widener University, Saturday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic Conference contest. The Warriors had a six-game winning streak come to an end, falling to the Pioneers 4-16. Lycoming is now 7-3 overall and 6-1 within the MAC. Widener improves to 5-3 and 5-0.

Dave Kirschner (Sr./Newton Square, Pa.; Marple Newton) led the Warriors with two goals in the game. James Cusick (Fr./Aston, Pa.; Sun Valley) and Chris McQuade (Sr./Lower Gwynedd, Pa.; Wissahickon) each added one score.

Matt Lyons (So./Radnor, Pa.; Conestoga) started in goal for Lycoming and made six saves, while giving up 13 goals in 45 minutes. Erik Shepski (Sr./West Chester, Pa.; Unionville) was in net for 15 minutes, allowing three goals and making three saves.

The Warriors will travel to Messiah College on Wednesday, April 20, for their next match-up.
