LYCOMING
MENS LACROSSE RALLIES TO TOP SCRANTON
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. The Lycoming College mens lacrosse team
hosted Middle Atlantic Conference action, Wednesday afternoon,
against the University of Scranton. The Warriors trailed the
Royals by a score of 2-4 at halftime, but used a 9-2 second half
to rally for the victory. Lycoming is now 5-2 overall and
undefeated in the conference at 4-0. Scranton drops to 0-9 and
0-5.
Senior
Dan Wilcox (Corning, N.Y./ Corning-Painted Post East) led
the Warriors with six goals and one assist. Junior Dave
Kirschner (Newton Square, Pa./ Marple Newton) had a pair of
goals and assists for four total points while junior Chris
Jordan (Doylestown, Pa./ Germantown Academy) contributed
three assists. In goal, senior Sean Powers (Drexel Hill, Pa./
Monsignor Bonner) had 13 saves while only giving up six
goals.
For the
Royals, freshman Russel Altman (New Canaan, Ct./ Iona Prep)
had two goals on the day and junior Peter Doran (Glen Head,
N.Y./ North Shore) had two assists. In goal, freshman
Thomas Davis (Media, Pa./ Penncrest) stopped 10 shots for
Scranton.
The next
contest for the Warriors will be on Saturday, April 10th,
at 2 p.m. They will be hosting another MAC opponent in FDU-Florham.
