MEN’S LACROSSE WINS THIRD STRAIGHT
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team
traveled to King’s College, Wednesday afternoon, for a Freedom
Conference contest. The Warriors used a strong fourth quarter to
pull away from the Monarchs and secure the 13-6 victory.
Lycoming improves to 3-2 overall and 2-0 within the conference.
King’s falls to 0-6 and 0-2.
Sang Duong
(Jr./Havertown, Pa.; Haverford)
led the Warriors with five goals and two assists in the game.
Dave Kirschner (Jr./Newtown Square, Pa.; Marple Newtown),
Dan Wilcox (Sr./Corning, N.Y.; Corning East), and Chris
McQuade (Jr./Lower Gwynedd, Pa.; Wissahickon) each added two
goals. Wilcox also had two assists, while Kirschner and McQuade
each recorded one assist.
Sean Powers
(Sr./Drexel Hill, Pa.; Monsignor Bonner)
and Christian Willaum (Sr./New Milford, Conn.; New Milford)
split time in goal for Lycoming. Powers made three saves and
allowed three goals during the first half. Willaum made six
saves and allowed three goals in the second half.
The Warriors
will travel to DeSales University on Saturday, April 3, for
their next game.
