WARRIOR MENS
LACROSSE SUFFERS LOSS AT DICKINSON
CARLISLE,
Pa. The Lycoming College mens lacrosse team returned to the
field for the first time in more than three weeks, Wednesday
afternoon, at Dickinson College. The Warriors showed more than a
little rust, as they fell to the Red Devils by a score of 15-7.
Lycoming drops to 0-2 on the season, while Dickinson improves to
3-2.
Sang Duong
(Jr./Havertown, Pa.; Haverford)
led the Warriors with four points on a goal and three assists.
Dan Wilcox (Sr./Corning, N.Y.; Corning East), Dave
Dormond (Sr./Bryn Mawr, Pa.; Haverford), and Dave
Kirschner (Jr./Newtown Square, Pa.; Marple Newtown) each
added two goals. Wilcox also recorded an assist.
Sean Powers
(Jr./Drexel Hill, Pa.; Monsignor Bonner)
went the distance in goal for Lycoming, making 13 saves.
The Red
Devils were led by Flynn Burch and Greg Welch, each with five
points. Burch scored three goals and assisted on two others.
Welch added two goals and three assists.
Tom Wilson
made 11 saves in goal for Dickinson.
The Warriors
will open their home schedule on Saturday, March 27, when they
host Moravian. Face-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at David Person
Field.
