LYCOMING’S
WILCOX AND EVANGELIST NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE LACROSSE TEAMS
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – Lycoming College
juniors Lauren Evangelist (Perkiomen Valley, PA; Boyertown)
and Dan Wilcox (Corning, NY; Corning East) have been named
to the 2003 All-Middle Atlantic Conference second teams for
women’s and men’s lacrosse, respectively.
Evangelist
was the Warriors’ top two-way player in 2003, leading the team
in groundballs with 53, draw controls with 33, and assists with
12. She also was second on the team with 24 goals and 36 points.
Her groundball and draw control totals were both good enough for
third-best within the entire MAC. This is the third consecutive
season Evangelist has been named to the all-conference second
team.
Wilcox
was Lycoming’s leading scorer in 2003 with 45 goals and 14
assists. He also had 35 groundballs on the season. His 3.21
goals-per-game average ranked fourth in the MAC. Wilcox also set a
new school record for goals in a game with 11 on March 24, versus
Neumann College. This is the second consecutive season Wilcox has
been named to the all-conference second team.
