MEN’S LACROSSE COMES UP SHORT IN SHOOTOUT AT ELMIRA
ELMIRA, NY – The
Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team took a break from
conference competition, Friday afternoon, to challenge Elmira
College. The Warriors scored plenty of goals but struggled
defensively, eventually falling 22-15. Lycoming drops to 3-3
overall with the loss. The Soaring Eagles improve to 1-4 on the
season.
Chris
McQuade (So./Lower Gwynedd, PA; Wissahickon)
led the Warriors with six goals and two assists. Dan Wilcox
(Jr./Corning, NY; Corning East) added five goals and one
assist. Ryan Bergstrom (Sr./Hagerstown, MD; Smithsburg)
chipped in two goals, and Dave Kirschner (So./Newtown Square,
PA; Marple Newtown) contributed four assists.
Christian
Willaum (Jr./New Milford, CT; New Milford)
went the distance in goal for Lycoming, making 17 saves.
The
Warriors play again on Wednesday, April 2, when they host King’s
College at 4 p.m.
