WARRIOR
MEN’S LACROSSE SUFFERS LOSS TO ITHACA
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming
College men’s lacrosse team hosted non-conference opponent
Ithaca College, Wednesday afternoon. The Bombers entered the
contest ranked ninth in the nation in Division III lacrosse and
showed why, defeating the Warriors, 15-6. Lycoming falls to 5-6
overall with the loss. Ithaca improves to 8-2.
Chris
McQuade (So./Lower Gwynedd, PA; Wissahickon)
led the Warriors with three goals in the game. Dan Wilcox
(Jr./Corning, NY; Corning East) added one goal and two
assists; Dave Kirschner (So./Newtown Square, PA; Marple
Newtown) chipped in one goal and one assist; and Ryan
Bergstrom (Sr./Hagerstown, MD; Smithsburg) scored one goal.
Eric
Shepski (So./New Milford, CT; New Milford)
received his first collegiate start in goal for Lycoming and made
10 saves.
Brett
Huckle led the Bombers with three goals. Scott Guerra added a pair
of goals as well. Ryan Martin went the distance in goal for Ithaca
making eight saves.
The
Warriors will play their final home game of the season on Saturday
when they host Elizabethtown College at 2 p.m.
