MEN’S LACROSSE WINS REGULAR SEASON FINALE
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team traveled to Drew
University, Saturday afternoon, to wrap up their regular season
schedule. The Warriors were held scoreless for the first 19
minutes of the contest, but overcame a 3-0 deficit to eventually
win the game comfortably 15-9. Lycoming finishes the 2002 campaign
with a mark of 11-4 overall and 8-1 in the MAC earning them the
second seed in the conference tournament. The Rangers fall to 1-11
and 1-5 with the loss.
Senior Buddy
Temple (Webster, NY; Webster) tallied the Warriors’ first
goal and led the team with three scores in the game. Sang Duong
(So./Havertown, PA; Haverford) added two goals while recording
four assists. Eric Holzhauer (Sr./Willow Grove, PA; Abington),
Dave Dormond (So./Bryn Mawr, PA; Haverford), Shaun
Bonnes (So./Ridley Park, PA; Ridley), and Dan Wilcox
(So./Corning, NY; Corning-Painted Post) each added two goals,
as well.
Christian
Willaum (So./New Milford, CT; New Milford)
played the majority of the game in goal for Lycoming making six
saves.
The Warriors will
host a first-round conference playoff game on Wednesday, May 1, at
a time and versus an opponent to be determined.
