LYCOMING MEN’S
LACROSSE HUMBLES MONARCHS
WILKES-BARRE,
PA – The Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team traveled to
King’s College, Saturday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic
Conference contest. The Warriors easily handled the Monarchs,
winning 20-4. Lycoming is now 7-4 on the season and 5-1 within the
conference.
Thirteen
different Warriors scored at least one goal in the game. Matt
Seiger (Sr./Levittown, PA; Conwell-Egan) led the squad with
three goals. Sang Duong (So./Havertown, PA; Haverford), Buddy
Temple (Sr./Webster, NY; Webster), Eric Holzhauer
(Sr./Willow Grove, PA; Abington), Dave Dormond (So./Bryn
Mawr, PA; Haverford), and Ryan Bergstrom (Jr./Hagerstown,
MD; Smithsburg) each added two goals a piece. Duong also
tallied three assists. Sean
Malone (So./Calgary, Alberta; Sir Winston Churchill)
scored one goal and assisted on two others.
Christian
Willaum (So./New Milford, CT; New Milford)
started in goal for Lycoming, making 5 saves and allowing just one
goal in 30 minutes. Jon
Bennett (Sr./Painter Post, NY; Corning-Painted Post West)
worked 20 minutes between the pipes making three saves and giving
up two goals. Jonathan
Hart (Fr./Milmont Park, PA; Ridley)
played the final ten minutes in the cage with one save and one
goal allowed.
The
Warriors will take a break from conference play on Monday, April
15, when they host Keuka College. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
