EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK

Pa. – Lycoming College junior forward Chris
Napier (Port Jervis, NY; Minisink Valley) has been named the
MAC Freedom Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan.
22-28.
This is the second consecutive week in which Napier has copped the
honor.
Last
week, Napier led the Warriors to a pair of conference wins last
week over King's College and DeSales University. In Lycoming's
double-overtime victory over the Monarchs, Napier scored 30
points, grabbed eight rebounds and tallied six assists. He also
went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line during the final and
deciding period. Against the Bulldogs, he dropped 27 points and
five rebounds. For the week, Napier averaged 28.5 points per game,
6.5 rebounds per game and recorded seven assists, three blocks and
two steals.
For
the season, Napier is the Warriors’ leading scorer and the 5th
leading scorer in the conference, averaging 17.1 points per game.
He also ranks among the top ten in the conference in blocked
shots, three-point field goals and rebounds.
The
Warriors are 10-8 overall and 5-4 in the Freedom Conference this
season.
