NAPIER
NAMED MAC FREEDOM CONFERENCE ALL-STAR
WILLIAMSPORT,
Pa. Lycoming College junior Chris
Napier (Port Jervis, NY; Minisink Valley) has been named
a MAC Freedom Conference first-team all-star.
Napier, the
lone forward on the first team, was the Warriors most
consistent player during the 2000-2001 campaign. Napier led
the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.9 points
and 6.7 rebounds per game.
He also
recorded 46 assists, 20 blocked shots and 16 steals in 25
games for Lycoming. In the final regular season game of the
year, Napier surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his
collegiate career, becoming just the 21st player
in the 53-year history of the Warrior basketball program to
reach the milestone.
Chris had an exceptional
year and being name to the all-conference first-team is a
well-deserved honor, said head coach Terry Conrad. Im
excited that Chris will be back to once again play a key role
for the team next season.
Lycoming
finished the 2000-2001 season with an overall record of 13-12
the sixth consecutive winning season for the program. The
Warriors also qualified for the MAC Freedom Conference
playoffs for the third straight year.
