WARRIORS’ NAPIER REACHED MILESTONE

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three-year starter and junior Chris Napier (Port Jervis, NY; Minisink Valley) surpassed the 1,000^th point mark for his collegiate career last Saturday at FDU-Madison. Napier scored 21 points in Lycoming 80-74 victory over the Devils in their regular season finale. Napier entered the game just four points shy of the milestone, giving him a total of 1,017 points to date.

During the regular season, Napier led the Warriors in scoring, averaging 17.8 points per game. He was the fifth leading scorer in the MAC Freedom Conference. Napier also averaged 6.6 rebounds per game, while knocking down 50 three pointers on the season and blocking 20 shots. As a team, Lycoming finished the regular season with a record of 13-11 – good for third place in the conference.

The Warriors qualified for the conference tournament as the third seed and will travel to the University of Scranton, Wednesday, Feb. 21, for the semifinal round. Tip off is at 8 p.m. The winner of the MAC Freedom Conference tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
