MEN’S BASKETBALL ENDS REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN
MADISON, N.J.
– The Lycoming College men’s basketball team completed their
regular season with an 80-74 victory at FDU-Madison, Saturday
afternoon. The win improves the Warriors record to 13-11 overall
and 8-6 within the MAC Freedom Conference. The Devils fall to
12-11 and 4-9.
Lycoming shot
55% from the field in the first half to carry a four-point lead
into the locker room. The Warriors were able to maintain their
shooting precision in the second half and steal a win on the
road. The victory is Lycoming’s third in a row.
David
Ganisin (Sr./Endicott, NY; Union Endicott)
led all scorers with 23 points. He also grabbed six rebounds and
blocked three shots. Chris Napier (Jr./Port Jervis, NY;
Minisink Valley) led the Warriors with seven rebounds, while
scoring 21 points, including the 1000th of his
collegiate career. Thomas Wesner (So./Dillsburg; Northern
Senior) added 15 points.
Lycoming will
travel to the University of Scranton on Wednesday, February 21
for the opening round of the Middle Atlantic Corporation Freedom
Conference playoffs. Wilkes University will be hosting King’s
College in the other opening round contest. Tip-off times for
those games have yet to be announced.
