slip away in falling to DeSales University 77-69 in a Freedom
Conference showdown on
Wednesday
evening. The Warriors fall to 9-9 overall, 3-4 in league play while
the Bulldogs improve to 11-5, 3-4 and move into a tie for fourth
place in the conference with Lycoming.

to lead a Warrior attack that nailed 7-of-10 three-point field
goals and shot an even 50.0 percent from the field in the first
20 minutes of play.
Lycoming
went cold from deep in the second half, missing on all six of
its three-point attempts as DeSales rebounded from a 3-for-14
long-distance showing in the first half to hit on 5-of-9 in the
second half. The
Bulldogs scorched the nets at a 60.0 percent clip (18-for-30)
overall from the field in the latter frame to outscore the
Warriors 50-32.

Warriors in double figures.

monster game down low with 18 points, seven rebounds, and three
blocked shots. Senior
point guard Brad Musser (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg)

second half seemed a continuation of the first for the Warriors
as they pushed out a 12-point advantage at 45-33 following a
Pribble jumper with 15:20 on the clock.
The Bulldogs responded with a 13-0 run to take a
one-point lead at 46-45 covering just a 2:50 period.

lead traded hands five times over the next eight-plus minutes
before DeSales went ahead for good at 57-56 following a layup by
Marvin Satchell with 6:25 to play.
DeSales’
edge hovered between five and eight points over the next several
minutes before the Warriors’ put together a few runs that
pared the lead down to four on two occasions, but Lycoming
couldn’t get any closer before the final buzzer.
The
Warriors are next in action on Saturday, January 28, as Lycoming
travels to FDU-Florham for a Freedom Conference contest.
