2005-06 Men's Basketball

Pribble Named One of Region's Best
D3hoops.com Honors 15 Top Regional Players

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Lycoming men’s basketball senior Jonathan Pribble (Woolrich, Pa./Central Mountain) added a second postseason award to his résumé, picking up a First Team nod on the D3hoops.com Middle Atlantic All-Region team.  Pribble had previously earned the Freedom Conference’s Player of the Year award as his first postseason recognition.

D3hoops.com, widely regarded as the top information website covering NCAA Division III men’s and women’s basketball, is well aware of Pribble’s exploits.  Including this season, the standout Warrior forward was twice named a preseason honorable mention All-American by the Internet outlet.  On Saturday during the D-III Final Four, the D3hoops.com All-America teams will be announced, an honor that Pribble is now eligible to earn.

In 2005-06, Pribble led the Freedom Conference in scoring for the second time in his career, finishing second on the Lycoming men’s basketball all-time scoring list with 1,974 points.  He also led the Warriors to an appearance in the league postseason tournament, the team’s second berth in the last three seasons.  After garnering the Rookie of the Year award following the 2002-03 season, Pribble picked up three consecutive conference First Team accolades including this year.

Joining Pribble on the region’s first team are Mike McGarvey from Ursinus, Anthony Fitzgerald from Villa Julie, Kris Clarkson from Widener, and Kyle Myrick from Lincoln.  Myrick was voted the region’s top player.

Players were nominated for this honor by the Sports Information Directors at various schools. There were 596 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for 10 players in their region. They voted for six frontcourt players and four backcourt players to insure balance.
