Hoopsters Awarded Player of the Week Honor Roll
Underclassmen Mock
and Sye lead Lycoming to Victory in the Process
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming basketball players Allison Mock
(State College, PA) and Greg Sye (Chantilly, VA) were
recognized as Freedom Conference Player-of-the-Week runner-ups
for the week ending December 17. Both Player-of-the-Week Honor
Roll* recipients led Lycoming to victories over the weekend.
Mock,
a freshman guard, exploded against PSU-Altoona on Sunday,
scoring a season-high 20 points along with three assists and two
rebounds. She hit four three-pointers in the 70-67 victory. She
was also eight of eight from the free throw line. Four of her
foul shots came in the final minute of the game to secure the
win on the road.
Sye,
a sophomore forward, was one rebound shy of a double-double on
Saturday at Elmira. He scored 13 points and grabbed nine boards
while blocking two shots.
(*The Freedom
Conference awards a Player-of-the-Week for both men’s and
women’s basketball, then acknowledges another Honor Roll player
per sport as a worthy runner-up.)
See Sye
in action on Thursday versus Shenandoah (Va.) at 7:00 in Lamade
Gymnasium. Mock and the Lady Warriors suit up for the
Lycoming Tournament on the weekend of January 5-6.
