Warriors Fall to FDU-Florham
Sye Outstanding in Loss

FLORHAM, N.J.—Lycoming’s men’s basketball team traveled to New Jersey on Saturday afternoon. Despite an impressive game by sophomore forward Greg Sye (Chantilly, VA), the Warriors fell to the Devils 66-51.

Sye shot an amazing 77% from the field, scoring 20 points and sewing up a double-double with 11 rebounds. Unfortunately, many of Lycoming’s surefire shooters were cold on the day. The exception was junior David Wilson (Pottsville, PA) who recorded 14 points. Jemayne Nowlin (Gaithersburg, MD) had nine points, including a three-pointer. The three was one of only two on the day for Lycoming.

The Warriors shot 38% from the field for the game, but hung tough with six steals. However, a strong effort by FDU’s guard Frank Emslie spelled victory for the Devils.

Lycoming gets another shot at FDU on January 27 in Williamsport. For now, the Warriors look to regroup and come out strong against Carnegie Mellon on Monday night in Lamade Gymnasium. The home game starts at 7:00 p.m.
